The Foundation Terre des hommes - child relief in Lausanne is an non-governmental organisation, independent, non-political, non-religious. It aims to bring about positive, meaningful and lasting changes in the lives of children and young people, their families and communities. It aspires to an environment where the rights of children, as defined in the Convention on the Rights of the Child, are always respected and where they become agent of changes they wish to see in the world.
In accordance with its mission and values, Terre des hommes considers it its duty to be the voice of children. In the face of abuses and non-respect of their rights, Terre des hommes claims its legitimacy, as a member of civil society, to raise awareness of the need to respect and protect them in Switzerland and throughout the world.
