Introduction

Terre des hommes ("Tdh") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains (i) what information is collected when you access and use our web pages available at http://www.tdh.org (the "Platform"), (ii) how we use the information collected, and (iii) the level of security we provide to protect it.

By accessing and using the Platform, you expressly agree to this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy may be amended at any time to adapt to new business practices, technology or legislative changes.

Collection of data

We collect data in connection with your access and use of the Platform. In particular, we may collect personal data about your name, gender, date of birth, addresses, payment information, email address, telephone numbers, language preference, or other information that can be used to identify or contact you in connection with your access and use of the Platform ("Personal Data").

We use the collected data submitted to us for the purposes stated at the time of collection, in particular for the performance of our activities and our humanitarian purpose. In particular, we use this data for the dissemination of targeted information about our activities, our financial support, including support for our projects and actions, for analysis, as well as for the subscription to our electronic newsletter.

Third party sites

The Platform may contain links or references to other third party websites, including websites of local delegations, managed and supervised by these local delegations. This Privacy Policy does not apply to such other third party websites or to the practices of other companies or individuals that Tdh does not control. You should inform yourself about and review the privacy policies of the third-party websites you visit, which govern the collection and use of your Personal Information when you visit them. To the extent permitted by law, Tdh is not responsible for the privacy practices of such third party websites.

Disclosure to third parties

We do not share your Personal Data with third parties, except with our partners and/or subcontractors, to the extent necessary to fulfill the purposes for which they are collected, e.g. when you make a donation for our financial support, your payment information is transmitted exclusively to the company to which we subcontract the management and collection of your donation.

Transfer abroad

Your personal data is processed in Switzerland but may also be stored and used in other countries, although some of these locations may include countries that do not necessarily guarantee the same level of personal data protection as Switzerland. By submitting this data to us, you specifically agree to this transfer.

In order to improve the use and functionality of the Services, we use "cookies", which may automatically record Personal Data. A cookie is a small data file that is stored on your electronic device. When you access and use the Platform, the cookie identifies your electronic device. We also use cookies to measure traffic and usage of the Platform and its features.

Applicable law and jurisdiction

This Privacy Policy is subject to Swiss substantive law, with the exception of its conflict of laws rules.

Any claim, demand or dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of Tdh's registered office, subject to appeal to the Federal Court.
